Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai

Distinguished Scientist of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Director, ISRO Satellite Centre (ISAC), Bangalore.

Dr M Annadurai, was Director, URSC from April 01, 2015 to July 31, 2018. Before taking over as Director, URSC, he was Programme Director for Indian Remote Sensing (IRS) and Small Satellite Systems (SSS) at URSC, Bengaluru.

Born on July 2, 1958, Dr Annadurai graduated in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, obtained his Post Graduate degree in Applied Electronics from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore and Doctoral degree from Anna University. Joining ISRO in 1982, Dr Annadurai began his career at URSC as the team leader to design and develop Software Satellite Simulator. During the period 1992 -2005, Dr Annadurai was the lead member of ISRO's satellite mission team and managed eight INSAT Missions as the Mission Director and brought about the efficient ground automation for satellite operations. As Project Director, Dr Annadurai made the most crucial contribution to the realisation of India's first Lunar Mission, Chandrayaan-1, which won many appreciations and awards including the prestigious Space Pioneer Award, 2009. In 2011, Dr Annadurai became the Programme Director of Indian Remote Sensing Satellites (IRS) and Small Satellite Systems (SSS) and realised five satellite projects. His other major contribution is the realisation of the successful Mars Orbiter Mission in record time. Dr Annadurai also supervised two student satellite projects. He has recieved many awards. He has been awarded the prestigious Padma Shri , 2016 for his contributions in the field of Science & Engineering by the President of India.

Hon’ble Dr. Justice N. Kumar

Former Judge, High Court Of Karnataka, Bengaluru.

Former Judge, High Court of Karnataka, Executive Chairman, ICADR, Bangalore and presently holds the National Human Rights Commission Chair on Human Rights.

Enrolled as an Advocate in 1976 and started extensive practice on the original side and extended the practice to the High Court of Karnataka. He is specialized in Civil, Company, Labour, Taxation, IPR and Constitutional matters. He served various institutions as Legal Advisor. He was also the Assistant Editor of Indian Law Reports (ILR), Karnataka for a period of six years. He elevated as Judge of the High Court of Karnataka in 2000. He was the President of Karnataka Judicial Academic for a longer period and he is actively involved in training Judicial Officers of the State of Karnataka in the Judicial Academy.

He has participated in number of National and International Judges Round Table Conferences. He has delivered key note addressed in the State level seminars organized by HRD, Govt. of India on IPR and Patent Laws. He was invited by USA to study the American Judicial System in the District Courts with special reference to mediation and plea bargaining.

He was conferred the Honorary Doctorate in Law by the Alliance University in the year 2015.

Daniel Lottis

Principal Engineer, Western Digital and IEEE Sight Chair

Daniel Lottis is a physicist with over twenty years of experience working with Spintronics and its precursors. Active in the Magnetism and Magnetic Materials field since 1987. He had early collaborations with partners in the Magnetic Recording industry involving perpendicular media and, later, GMR materials for sensors. He is recently active in the development of Spin-Transfer-Torque MRAM. Supporting collaborations between WD and academic research groups. Devoted volunteer in the Engineering for Development / Humanitarian Technology arena. Currently, he is a part of Western Digital's CTO Office team, where I coordinate our External Collaborations Program, often described simply as "University Collaborations".He is also a volunteer on IEEE's Humanitarian Activities Committee. Specifically, I am honored to have been appointed as 2018 Chair of the IEEE SIGHT Steering Committee. Kristen MacCartney

Senior University Partnership Program (UPP) Manager, IEEE

Kristen directly supports unique programs with students, librarians, and faculty at 18 schools in the US, India, and China. She focuses on universities in UPP: the Indian Institute of Science, Indian Institute of Technology (Kharagpur), Peking University, Tsinghua University, Stanford, Berkeley, Caltech, MIT, Columbia, Dartmouth, UCSD, UCLA, Michigan, Texas A&M, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Drexel and WPI; but embraces outreach to any student/groups interested in learning more about the IEEE. She partners with the IEEE Client Services team and others throughout the Institute to reach engineers and technologists around the world, raising awareness of the information and opportunities provided by the IEEE that lead to better research, leadership, teamwork, networking, and communication skills. Kristen joined the IEEE in 2005 from Rutgers University, where she networked her way back into the workforce while completing her MLIS.   She also has an MBA from Rutgers and an English degree from Lafayette College; these degrees opened doors to an early career in financial writing (business plans, annual reports, and corporate PR.) She serves in leadership roles with various library and community organizations in Ohio and New Jersey.

Dr. Balakrishna Shetty

He has been a Vice-Chancellor of Sri Siddhartha University Tumkur since 2012 and a Post Graduate Examiner in Radiology since 2002 He has also been a Head Dept. of Radiology, Director of PG studies since 1995. He was the President at Indian Radiology and Imaging Association (IRIA), in the year 2015. He is also an International Journal Reviewer for Medical Science Educator (Springer Publication)and an International Abstract Reviewer for Consortium Universities Global Health, USA.

Dr. Jagdish Chaturvedi

Founder and CEO, HiiiH Innovations Pvt Ltd

Dr. Jagdish Chaturvedi is an ENT Surgeon, Medical Device Innovator, Author and Stand-up Comedian. He trained at St. John’s Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore (2009-2011), a Stanford-India Biodesign (SIB) Fellow 2012, and holds an MBA degree in Entrepreneurship and Hospital Management (NIBM,2013). His core expertise lies in the process of identifying and analyzing unmet clinical needs for quick development of low-cost and high-quality medical devices, and teaching/ training the Biodesign process. Since 2010, he has co-invented and developed 18 affordable medical devices addressing the unmet needs in the Indian healthcare system, many of which have been taken over by indigenous companies, while some have formed startup companies for further development and commercialization. Dr. Jagdish Chaturvedi is currently Director, Clinical Innovations, and Partnerships atInnaccel Technologies Private Limited. He continues his clinical career as a Sinus Specialist by running his private evening ENT clinic and carries out surgical procedures at Fortis Hospitals, Bangalore as Visiting Consultant in Ear nose and throat.

Lt. Col. Shri Harsha

Deputy Program Director – Vizag Smart City, AECOM

Lt Col L Shri Harsha, Retd, with three decades of experience brings with him a wealth of experience in the areas of Strategic Planning, Construction Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management and Crisis & Risk Management. Apart from a degree in BE (Civil) and an MBA, he also holds a Master’s in business law and a PG Diploma in Human Rights Law from the prestigious National Law School of India University. After retirement from the Army, he is engaged in multifarious assignments. As a Consultant he handles programs and projects across multiple industry sectors, He currently works as a Consultant. He is currently Deputy Program Director – Vizag Smart City and also Secretary and Treasurer of Project Management Institute, Bangalore India Chapter.

Dr. Amit Kumar

Forensic Scientist and Founder, BioAxis DNA Research Centre

Amit is a passionate Forensic Scientist, Entrepreneur, Engineer, Bioinformatician and an IEEE Volunteer. In 2005 he founded first Private DNA Testing Company BioAxis DNA Research Centre (P) Ltd in Hyderabad, India with a US Collaborator. He has vast experience of training 1000+ Crime investigation officers and helped 750+ Criminal and noncriminal cases to reach justice by offering analytical services in his laboratory. His group also works extensively on Genetic Predisposition risk studies of cancers and has been helping many cancer patients from 2012 to fight and win the battle against cancer. Amit is a member of IEEE Strategy Development and Environmental Assessment committee (SDEA) of IEEE MGA. He is the senior member of IEEE and has been a very active IEEE Volunteer. With experience at Section, Council, Region and IEEE MGA levels in several capacities. He has driven a number of IEEE Conferences, Conference leadership programs, Entrepreneurship development workshops, Innovation, and Internship related training.

Prof. Debabrata Das

Professor and Hewlett Packard Chair, IIIT-Bangalore (IIITB)

Dr. Debabrata Das is serving as Professor and Hewlett Packard Chair at IIIT-Bangalore (IIITB). Before joining IIIT-B, he had served at G S Sanyal School of Telecommunication at IIT Kharagpur and later at Kirana Networks in New Jersey, USA. He is CoPI of a project from Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India on Smart Home and PI of a project on IoT interworking from Bell-Lab Nokia Research India. He was PI of sponsored projects from Intel, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, Motorola Research, Nokia, Govt. of India on areas of IMS and Broadband Wireless MAC/QoS/Energy-saving, TVWS. His main areas of research interest are IoT and Wireless Access Network’s MAC, QoS, Power saving. He has more than 110 peer-reviewed papers in different Transaction/Journals and International Conferences. His 7 patents are under review. He and his wireless network team had contributed three ideas to IEEE 802.16m Broadband Wireless Standard. Dr. Das received his Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He has received Prof. K. Sreenivasan Memorial Award 2017 for excellent teaching in the areas of Telecommunication from IETE.  Dr. Das has received Global IEEE MGA Achievement Award 2012 and Outstanding Volunteer Award-2008 IEEE Bangalore Section 2008. He is Fellow-IETE, Fellow-IE, and SM-IEEE. He is Chairman-2017 of IEEE Bangalore Section an IT-Service Management Forum India (itSMF); Board Member of IIIT-Bhubaneswar; Technical and Empower Committee member of e-Governance for Govt. of Karnataka. Dr. Das was the first Dean-Academic and R&D of IIIT-Bangalore.

Dr. Preeti Bajaj

Dr. Preeti Bajaj is an Electronics Engineer-Post graduated in 1998 & awarded the doctorate in 2004. She is currently Director of G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur. She is currently Secretary- IEEE India Council, Member - IEEE MGA SAC, CGAA EAB. Previously she also served as Vice-chair students activities- India council for IEEE for 2013-16. She is currently guiding 3 Doctoral students & 8 have been awarded Ph.D. & 30 have completed M.Tech. She has to her credit as author and co-author over 200 reviewed Publications in International Journal/ International Conferences & 3 book chapters with citations 550 plus & h ratio 12. She has also been instrumental to the design and development of ITS systems in public and private sectors like toll collection/toll audit /highway traffic management system and AITS by applying Soft/hybrid Computing. She is founder General Chair of ICETET series of IEEE Conferences. Dr. Bajaj holds several awards like Best Teacher award, “Bhaskar Woman’s Award” and “Faculty of Month”. Ramakrishna Kappagantu

Immediate past Director, IEEE Region R10 (Asia Pacific)

Ramakrishna Kappagantu has over 33 Years of rich experience in Indian Power Sector viz. NTPC and POWERGRID. Presently he is an independent consultant and serving on the Advisory Board of few Organizations & Institutions. Earlier, he made important leadership contributions towards the development of Solar Power Projects for a Social Entrepreneur, POWERGRID’s first India Smart Grid Pilot project and management of 55 GW South Indian Power Grid, its complex real-time operations, Power Markets and SCADA-EMS Systems. His interests include Power System Economics, Smart Grids/Cities, Renewables, and SACADA-EMS. He is a regularly invited speaker at several reputed journal and conference publications. He graduated in Electrical Engineering from MNIT, Jaipur, with a Masters in Automation and Controls from JNTU, Hyderabad, and heading for completion of PhD in Smart Grids from NIT, Tiruchirappalli. He works for embedding Human Values in Technology and Management and believes that value induction alone can drive Students and YPs to develop technology for benefit of Humanity. Sudeendra Koushik

Chief Innovator and Co-founder of Prasu , Chairman of IEEE Bangalore Section

Sudeendra Koushik in an Engineering Graduate (BE E&C) with Master of Business Administration(MBA) and Post-graduation in Strategy from IIM-K and his research based PhD in the field of Innovation. Mr Koushik has been a practicing Innovator throughout his career of 24 years, with more than 18 national and international patents in various stages. Koushik is passionate about innovation and has served in Philips Global Development Centre, Singapore, Philips Advanced Systems Laboratory and Philips Innovation Centre Eindhoven, in The Netherlands and Philips Innovation Centre, India. He also worked in HCL as Practice Director Innovation, India and was Vice-President and Head, Innovation at TTK prestige. Mr Koushik has published several research papers and has conducted numerous workshops on Innovation in India and abroad. He is the recipient of Karnataka State Innovation Council Award, HCL excellence award for Patents, India Design Mark Award from India Design Council and Sir M Viswesvaraya Engineer Award. Koushik is a regular speaker at various forums including, MIT Emerging Technology Conference, PMI, IEEE, TiE, IIT- Madras, IIT-Gandhinagar, CII, and has written articles for Frost & Sullivan, Deccan Herald etc. Most recently Koushik is selected speaker at IIeX Europe, 2017. Koushik has served IEEE as founder-member CE Singapore, founder-member, secretary, chairman of CE Bangalore, as Chair professional acivities, joint-treasurer, SAC Chair, Vice-Chairman of the IEEE Bangalore section, member India strategy committee, Co-Chair of Innovation Committee of IEEE Asia-Pacific. Puneet Kumar Mishra

Mr. Puneet Kumar Mishra obtained his M.Tech in RF & Microwave from IIT Rookee in the year 2004. Since 2004 he has been with ISRO Satellite Centre, and is presently Heading Satellite Antenna Characterization, Test & Design Section. He has rich experience of RF characterization of 33 Satellites operating from UHF to Ka-Band. He has Played a pivotal role in establishing S/C level EMC chamber and has Developed a payload to study the RF blackout phenomenon. He has also contributed in Indigenously Developing BusBars for High power S/C. He has published more than 40 papers and won 3 best paper awards.He is a Senior Member of IEEE, and life member of Astronautical Society of India. He is on the board of reviewers of journals like the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, and IET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation. He is a passionate volunteers and served Bangalore section as Joint Secretary (2013), Secretary (2014,2015), Treasurer (2016). He is currently Vice Chair, Bangalore Section and Vice Chair (Industry Relations) for IEEE India Council. He was treasurer for R10-50 Years Inaugural event, R10 SYWL Congress 2016 and WIE Global summit 2016 held at Banglaore. He has brought radical changes in section by introducing Performance Based and membership dependent Section Support Scheme for Student Branches and Chapters, online fund transfer, annual platinum sponsorship and unique IEEE Young Professional in Space Program. He was TPC Co-chair for INDICON 2016 and General Chair for IEEE iAIM 2017 and YPinSpace Program.

Dr Sri Niwas Singh

FIEEE (USA), FNAE, FIET (UK), IE(I), IETE(I) IEEE R10 Conference and Technical Seminar Coordinator

Prof S. N. Singh obtained his M. Tech. and Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, in 1989 and 1995. Presently, he is Vice-Chancellor, Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology Gorakhpur and leave from Professor (HAG), Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. Before joining IIT Kanpur as Associate Professor, Dr Singh worked with UP State Electricity Board as Assistant Engineer from 1988 to 1996, with Rookree University (now IIT Rookree) as Assistant Professor from 1996 to 2000 and with Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand as Assistant Professor from 2001 to 2002. Dr Singh received several awards including Young Engineer Award 2000 of Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), Khosla Research Award of IIT Roorkee, and Young Engineer Award of CBIP New Delhi (India), 1996. Prof Singh is receipt of Humboldt Fellowship of Germany (2005, 2007) and Otto-monsted Fellowship of Denmark (2009-10). Prof Singh became first Asian to receive 2013 IEEE Educational Activity Board Meritorious Achievement Award in Continuing Education. He is also recipients of INAE Outstanding Teacher Award 2016 and IEEE R10 region (Asia-Pacific) Outstanding Volunteer Award 2016.

His research interests include power system restructuring, FACTS, power system optimization & control, security analysis, wind power, etc. Prof Singh has published more than 450 papers in International/national journals/conferences and supervised 29 PhD (11 PhD under progress). He has also written two books one on Electric Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution and second is Basic Electrical Engineering, published by PHI, India. Prof Singh has completed three dozen of projects in India and abroad.

Prof Singh was Chairman, IEEE UP Section for 2013 & 2014, and presently, he is IEEE Region 10 (Asia-Pacific) Conference and Technical Seminar Coordinator 2015-18. Prof Singh is also India Council Chairman-Elect of IEEE, the largest professional body in engineering.

Gunjan Shukla

Global Operations Leader , Thoughtworks

Gunjan Shukla is a senior management professional with proven expertise in building business and delivering technology programs. She is a part of the global operations team and works directly with the Chief Commercial Officer’s office. Her main responsibilities includes scaling demand operations up across all the countries in which ThoughtWorks has a presence.

Her growth at ThoughtWorks is linked to the several caps that she has donned; Business Analyst, Project Manager, Client Principal, People Champion for the Pune office, General Manager for the Pune office, Demand Operations Lead for India, Chief of Staff for the MD’s office and more recently leading the Engineering for Research practice in India. This cumulative experience spanning 16 years has seen her gain experience across these functions - Operations, Business Analysis, Client Management, Global Delivery, Offshore Delivery, Delivery Excellence, Operations Leadership Development and Agile Program Management stands to benefit her today in her current role. 

Sankalp Mohan Sharma

Founder & Director of Sachh India

He is the Founder & Director of Sachh India. He was also India’s Youngest Climate Reality Leader at the age of 16, trained by Ex Vice President of the United States Al Gore. He was also the youngest State Head ( Karnataka ) of the global Walk For Water Campaign, attended by Chief Minister Of Karnataka, Shri. Siddharamiah.

He is an International Coordinator Human Rights Sanrakshan Sansthaa. He's also at Indian Representative at The Youth Assembly at the United Nations at the UN Headquarters in New York and student Ambassador at Sellfys and he's also the Indian Delegate at IYF 월드문화캠프_world cultural camp in South Korea and an International Partnership Manager at Global Young Voices. He's also a Global Ambassador Eco Youth United

His many awards include Akhil Uday Award – For Social work to help the society. Aryan Young Achiever Award chosen by more then 3000 teachers from across India. Global Young Voices Winner from over One Hundred Thousand Applications from across the globe, ranked First, and presented a speech at the UN. Won the National Society of High School Scholars award from Mr. Claes Nobel, Senior member of the family that established the Nobel Prize. Winner of the International Young Environmentalist Award from the President of Phillipines. Won the outstanding Project Award in South Korea for my teams project to clean polluted water in South East Asia.

Rohaan Goswami

Entrepreneur, COO at Ycenter and Founder of ProjectOne(India)

Rohaan Goswami is the COO and Director of Product at Ycenter India. He leads the engineering and design teams and is chief architect of Ycenter’s global experiential learning platform EPIC. He is also in charge of conceptualizing and implementing creative features along with go-to-market strategies for Ycenter's worldwide expansion programs, specifically in Asia and the Middle East.

When not solving challenges at Ycenter, he works as the Creative Director at ProjectOne, a non-profit media collective that he founded in 2016 to celebrate human diversity. He travels across India documenting and researching on the various sub-cultures within the nation's diverse demography.

In November 2017, Rohaan was invited as a delegate from India to the Misk Global Forum in Riyadh, in association with the United Nations Development Program, to brainstorm with young leaders, creators and thinkers from around the world for ways to meet “The Challenge of Change”.

Rohaan is frequently invited as a visiting faculty and guest speaker to teach courses and deliver talks on Design Thinking, Storytelling and Social Innovation across top universities including IIT-Bombay, IIT-Roorkee, IISWBM, TAPMI and KLE Tech.

Dr Sivaji Chakravorti

Dr Sivaji Chakravorti is Professor in Electrical Engineering at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India with more than 29 years of teaching experience. He worked at Technical University Munich as Humboldt Research Fellow in 1995-96. He served as Development Engineer in Siemens AG in Berlin in 1998. He worked as US-NSF guest scientist at Virginia Tech, USA, in 2003. He is recipient of Technical University Munich Ambassador Award in 2013. He is Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Power & Energy Society.

Mr. Harish Mysore

Mr. Harish Mysore is the first IEEE Director of India operations based in Bangalore, India. Harish has worked in the technology industry for over 25 years in India. Prior to IEEE, Mr. Harish worked in IBM India Labs and handled IP Licensing and Alliances program and technology operations for IBM in India. Harish has also worked with Texas Instruments, Motorola, Analog Devices and Wipro. Harish has an Electronics and Communications Degree from Mysore University and has interest in Technology management and Agriculture.
