A World Heritage place Mysuru has a royal history behind its richness in culture and tradition. It served as a capital city of the Kingdom of Mysore for nearly six centuries. The Kingdom was ruled by Wadiyar Dynasty.

The city is situated in the foothills of the Chamundi Hills, which is about 146kms (91mi) southwest of Bengaluru.
